THE ATLAS

A world of flags.

The country deck contains the 193 UN member states plus the two UN observer states, Palestine and Vatican City (Holy See).

The full atlas includes 249 ISO 3166-1 countries and territories, plus Kosovo. Inclusion is for learning, not a statement about sovereignty. Some territories use the same flag as another country.

Regions follow the source dataset. Flag designs and names can change. Afghanistan is shown with the republic tricolor used by the flag provider; current flag usage is disputed. Flags are bundled from FlagCDN; country data is adapted from mledoze/countries (ODbL license). Download the adapted data.

A correct first answer marks a flag learned. A wrong answer or using Reveal keeps it in practice, even if you retry immediately after seeing the answer. Capitalization, accents, punctuation, common short names (like Turkey or Antigua), and small spelling mistakes are accepted. A typo must point clearly to one country across the full atlas; ambiguous near-matches are not counted correct. Ambiguous answers such as “Congo” or “Korea” need a more specific name.
